Kathleen Robbins

President

Kathleen Robbins is a proud native of Houston and has called Pearland home for over 30 years. She chose to raise her three children in Pearland, drawn to its small-town charm and strong educational opportunities.

A graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Kathleen has built a successful 30-year career in healthcare marketing and business development, working with both small and large organizations. She is currently employed as the Community Liaison for Sheila’s Angels in Home Care, where she is dedicated to supporting families in need of compassionate care.

Deeply committed to community service, Kathleen has been actively involved with CAP (Community Assistance Providers) for over a decade. Her leadership roles have included Membership Co-chair, Membership Chair, Vice President, and serving on the Boogie Nights committee. She currently contributes as Secretary, continuing her mission to assist individuals in short-term crises to regain stability.

Beyond her professional and volunteer work, Kathleen enjoys spending quality time with her children and friends, taking road trips, gardening, attending church, and baking. Her love for baking led to the creation of her side business, Rich Blessings Kitchen, where a portion of the proceeds supports charitable organizations such as CAP, Mercy Chefs, KSBJ, and Child Fund.

Kathleen’s passion for service, both in her career and personal endeavors, reflects her deep commitment to giving back to the community and making a lasting impact on those in need.

Michele Ayala

Vice President

After 30 years in healthcare, I took a leap of faith. I made the decision to enter the hospice entity of healthcare.  I am the Community Liaison for Essential Hospice and Palliative Services. I was encouraged to join this awesome team a year and a half ago, and it is the best decision I ever made! 

Years ago it all started with a phone call. I saw an ad run in the paper for an activity director. It said, if you love doing all these things, give us a call. So I did, and come to find out you had to be certified. While working for Texas City ISD for many years, they allowed me to do that once a week. Next thing you know, I was a Certified Activity Director. I worked for 4 skilled nursing facilities in that 30 year period. I held positions of activity director, social worker, admission coordinator,  food service manager, and discharge planner. A position that is one-on-one with the residents is so rewarding!

What I have learned in my new position is time is a thief. That you must take the time to enjoy the moment, time for yourself, and most of all… time with your loved ones. So go out there and make those memories!!!!!

Leslie Ornelas

Treasurer

Leslie Ornelas is a dedicated nonprofit leader and community advocate with more than 17 years of experience in nonprofit management, community engagement, fundraising, and business development. She currently serves as Business Development Specialist for Your Legacy Legal Care, where she connects families and professionals with trusted estate planning and elder law resources throughout Texas.

Prior to joining Your Legacy Legal Care, Leslie devoted over 15 years to United Way Galveston County Mainland, where she advanced through several leadership roles, including Chief Executive Officer, Assistant Executive Director, and Donation Coordinator. During her tenure, she led strategic initiatives, strengthened community partnerships, expanded fundraising efforts, and oversaw programs that improved the lives of individuals and families across the region.

Earlier in her career, Leslie served as a Social Services Case Manager with The Salvation Army, providing direct assistance and support to individuals facing difficult life circumstances. She is also an active volunteer with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs, where she has been recognized with Outstanding Achievement and Community Service Leadership Awards for her dedication to serving others.

As Treasurer of CAP of Greater Pearland, Leslie brings extensive expertise in nonprofit leadership, financial stewardship, and community collaboration. Her passion for helping others and building strong community partnerships helps advance CAP’s mission of providing emergency assistance and hope to families experiencing short-term crises.

Adam Hundley

Secretary

Adam Hundley is the Client Services Director at Your Legacy Legal Care™ and is a seasoned professional dedicated to enhancing the client experience. As a visionary leader, he skillfully oversees the firm’s marketing and intake departments, ensuring a seamless synergy between client needs and strategic planning.

Adam earned his Paralegal Studies degree in 2020 and is currently pursuing further academic excellence at the University of Houston Clear Lake. A proud Houston native, he is deeply connected to the heartbeat of the city, and when he’s not immersed in work or studies, Adam thrives on exploring the vibrant Houston scene.

Being one of the first points of contact for clients, Adam passionately delves into the myriad benefits of estate planning, working closely with individuals and families to tailor personalized solutions. His genuine commitment to understanding clients’ needs sets him apart, as he navigates the complexities of estate planning with a meticulous and empathetic approach.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Adam finds joy in the company of his beloved fur babies, Bentley and Rusty, and cherishes quality time with family and friends. An avid explorer of culinary delights, he enjoys discovering new restaurants, and his passion for travel knows no bounds.

Adam extends his influence beyond his professional sphere, actively serving as the President for Community Assistance Providers (CAP) of Greater Pearland. Holding the esteemed title of a Certified Dementia Practitioner® (CDP®) and Certified Alzheimer’s and Dementia Disease Care Trainer® (CADDCT®), he exemplifies his commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

His professional dedication is further evident in his active memberships with The Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Metropolitan Paralegal Association, where he contributes to the growth and development of his professional community.

Andrea Zaite

Parliamentarian

Andrea Zaite is a veteran of Medical Social Work and brings knowledge and understanding of the medical community and how to get the most of all your medical care needs.

A to Z Geriatric Care Services is a geriatric Care Management company started by Andrea Zaite in 2017 to ensure older persons and their families maintain a high quality of life through support and care as they age.

Andrea has been a social worker for over 37 years and has worked with a variety of populations, from persons with disabilities to chronically ill and the elderly.

The focus of the organization is to help those individuals maintain their dignity and enhance their lives by partnering with families and providing support, education, and grief work.

Leo Walker

Newsletter Chair

Leo Walker is the owner of Home Helpers Home Care in Pearland, helping seniors and others in southeast Houston and the Bay area with the tasks of everyday living. He is also a founder and president of HIKE for Mental Health, an all-volunteer nonprofit group that organizes hikes and walks around the country to combat the stigma of mental illness and raises funds for mental health research and trail conservancy. He chairs the planning team that organizes the City of Pearland’s Veterans Day Walk to show support for veterans with PTSD. His career spans more than 30 years of leadership in public, private and nonprofit sectors. He resides in Friendswood. 

Qiana James

Program Chair

Qiana is Founder/CEO of Friendly Faces Senior Care. She obtained her BBA in Entrepreneurship & Management from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. She is a graduate of the prestigious Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship, one of the Nation’s Leading Entrepreneurial Programs.

She previously worked as a Major Account Executive for Concentra, a division of Select Medical. There she was able to help employers find solutions to their employee health needs by promoting health & wellness and she learned the importance of the client experience within healthcare.

She saw a unique need within the home care industry to focus on the client’s overall experience from the initial on boarding to their interaction with their assigned caregiver as well as follow up and resolution of any issues.

Jeremy Moore

Program Co-chair

Jeremy Moore is a Senior Care Advisor, military veteran, and small business owner who helps older adults, families, and healthcare professionals navigate personalized, and compassionate care solutions with clarity and confidence. After serving in Afghanistan, Jeremy built a career in the medical device and medical robotics industries, working closely with healthcare providers to develop innovative, patient centered market development solutions.

In 2025, he founded Assisted Living Locators of Southeast Houston after witnessing how overwhelmed individuals and families often feel when navigating the senior living and care landscape. Today, he provides high quality placement support and care coordination for independent living, assisted living, memory care, and long-term care, partnering when needed with hospitals and rehabilitation centers to ensure smooth, dignified transitions.

Jeremy is passionate about purpose driven work, strong community partnerships, and supporting families during moments that truly matter. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn son, staying active outdoors and traveling.

Bincy Jacobs

Membership Chair

Since entering the real estate industry in 2014, Bincy has helped hundreds of clients including individuals, families, businesses, churches, and nonprofit organizations navigate the buying and selling process with confidence, clarity, and care. She leads Advocates Real Estate Group, a boutique team based in Houston known for combining high-level strategy with compassionate service. Her thoughtful approach has made her a go-to resource not just for clients, but also for attorneys, fiduciaries, and professionals seeking expertise in residential, luxury, land, and complex real estate transactions.

Bincy’s background includes more than 16 years in nonprofit leadership, where she managed teams, built programs, and led large-scale community initiatives. That experience continues to shape her real estate practice, especially in high-stakes situations involving relocation, probate, or major life transitions. She is widely known for her calm presence, clear communication, and ability to anticipate challenges before they arise.

In recognition of her service and impact, Bincy has received numerous honors, including the Houston Association of Realtors’ Top 20 Under 40 Award and the 2023 John E. Wolf Community Service Award. She is also a RealTrends Verified Top 1.5% Agent Nationwide and actively serves on several industry committees, including as a Texas REALTORS® State Board Member, where she contributes to shaping policy and advocating for homeowners across the state.

Bincy holds professional designations including Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), New Home Construction Specialist, and more.

The Advocates Real Estate Group proudly serves a diverse client base and offers support in multiple languages, including English, Malayalam, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, and Tagalog.

Outside of real estate, Bincy finds her greatest joy in her family, including her four children. Whether guiding a first-time buyer or managing a high-value listing, she brings the same dedication, expertise, and care to every client she serves.

Kendra Hudson

Kendra Hudson is a dedicated entrepreneur and senior care professional with a passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to older adults. She is the Owner and Administrator of The Acres Assisted Living, a licensed 16-bed Type B assisted living community in Fresno, Texas, where she is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and family-centered environment for residents.

In addition to her work in senior care, Kendra is the Owner of Hudson House Assisted Living and a Franchise Owner of Colbert/Ball Tax Service, bringing extensive experience in business ownership, operations, and client service.

As a Board Member of CAP of Greater Pearland, Kendra is dedicated to strengthening the community through service, collaboration, and advocacy. Her experience in senior care and small business leadership provides valuable insight as CAP works to assist local families facing short-term crises. Kendra is passionate about building meaningful community partnerships and helping improve the quality of life for those in need.

Tina LaVert

Board Member

Tina LeVert is an accomplished healthcare executive and registered nurse with extensive experience in emergency medicine, healthcare operations, and leadership. She currently serves as Director of Nursing for Aether Health, overseeing nursing operations across multiple emergency care facilities, including Kingwood ER, Spring Cypress ER, and Silverlake ER. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while fostering excellence in clinical leadership.

Prior to joining Aether Health, Tina served as Chief Executive Officer of LeVert Consultants, LLC, where she specialized in healthcare consulting, regulatory compliance, operational strategy, and quality improvement. She also spent nearly nine years as Facility Director for Neighbors Emergency Center in Pearland, leading facility operations, regulatory compliance, accreditation, budgeting, and patient experience initiatives while ensuring adherence to state and federal healthcare standards.

Throughout her career, Tina has built a reputation for strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a patient-first approach. Her expertise in healthcare management, quality assurance, and organizational development has helped healthcare organizations strengthen compliance, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the overall care experience.

As a Board Member of CAP of Greater Pearland, Tina brings valuable healthcare expertise and a passion for community service. She is dedicated to advancing CAP’s mission of providing emergency assistance and resources to individuals and families facing short-term crises while helping build a healthier, stronger community.

John Hundley

Co-founder

John Hundley is Vice President of Best Coupon Magazines; John joined forces with his wife and partner Dana in 2004. A Native Texan, he lived in Houston before moving to Pearland in 1991 to start raising a family.

John likes to say he is a graduate from the School of Hard Knocks. His background includes holding a Texas Plumbers License for 5 years after going through a 4 year apprentice program associated with HCC.
Later turning to Oil & Gas Manufacturing where he held positions from a Certified Welder, Mechanical Designer then on to becoming a Project Manager.

John is involved with local area Chamber of Commerce’s and Local Non Profit Organizations. He was named Ambassador of the Year in 2007 for the Pearland Chamber and 2005 Ambassador of the Year for the Friendswood Chamber.
